“In 2004, the National Endowment for the Arts created Operation Homecoming to help U.S. troops and their families write about their wartime experiences. Through this program, some distinguished writers conducted workshops at military installations and contributed educational resources to help the troops and their families share their stories. In addition to those works published in the anthology, all of the writing submitted by the troops will be preserved in an open, national government archive.”
I saw the DVD recently, Here are some notes I took: Download operation_homecoming.pdf Operation Homecoming does for soldiers what we are trying to do for patients and their families: to give "the guy at the bottom a forum for his insights and epiphanies."
You will enjoy the DVD and the Book The DVD is also available from NetFlix
