(Letter from Dr. Pito)
Dear Dr. Elpern and other C2S Readers,
Greeting from Norfolk Island where it is Eternal Spring. In my compulsive surfing, I cam across a strange article in the March 22 New York Times. Since it is a comment on medicine in general and dermatology in particular, I thought I'd see if you would post my comments.
The piece in question seems to be an infomercial for a Washington-based dermatologist. Is this news?
"In Washington, no one embodies this convergence of politics, looks and media status more than Dr. Tina S. Alster, dermatologist to the powerful.
Designer-clad, immaculately blond, conversant in foreign and domestic politics and an habitué of the Beltway social circuit, Dr. Alster has a roster of patients she will not name because of doctor-patient confidentiality. But she is not averse to describing them in general terms."
