Poem from Hawaii

             MOTHER  EARTH
                

She screams, "please, no more!"
   Wounded,
     Angry,
       Humiliated.
When will they cease the needless destruction?

For so long they called it progress.
    New,
      Better,
         More.
But for whom, and at what ultimate cost?

All actions have consequences!
    Re-use,
      Re-store,
        Re-Cycle.
Today, not tomorrow! Are we to be a disposable nation?
