In April 2008, on my way home from work, I noticed an owl perched across the street from my house. He or she was there for a few days and could be heard who-ing at all hours.
Fast forward 11 years... Dr. Caitlin Stiglmeier was visiting in Williamstown, April 2019. When we looked out the kitchen window we saw another owl. Possibly a descendant of of the 2008 bird. Caitlin was moved to write a haiku in homage to this magnificent bird.
